Amsterdam is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Europe, receiving more than drie and a half million international visitors annually. In the city centre of Amsterdam, the Netherlands, we run two hostels, the Shelter City and the Shelter Jordan. Each year more then 40.000 backpackers and tourists are spending one or more nights in our hostels. In addition to providing them with good accommodation, our desire is to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with these young travelers.
With an international team of Christians volunteers we are running these hostels. We organise special outreach activities for our guests like Alpha courses, Biblestudies, open mic nights, creative evenings, sport events, introductions to Dutch games & traditions and many more to get in contact with the people and show them Gods love for them.
